This is the sixth year the group has held a show at the recently refurbished Mutley venue. Gallery owner Isabell Peirson has mounted a display with her customary balance and sensitivity, giving the visitor ample opportunity to view the work to its fullest advantage. The Society, formed in 1944, has always kept its intent towards a progressive style and method and the several new members included this year certainly maintain these objectives. A bonus to the evening was the fine spell of early autumn weather allowing the sculpture garden to be fully appreciated as an extension of the exhibition.
